• The American Express card associated with Macy’s
• The Regular Macy’s department store card
Both Macy’s credit cards make you eligible for the Star Rewards Program offered by Macy’s. A gift certificate is rewarded upon collecting $25 worth of rewards.
Macy’s Star Rewards Card
You can use this card online and/or at the store. To obtain the card, you need to open an account at Macy’s. You will receive monthly bills which you can either pay off or carry over the balance to the next month.
Macy’s promotes this card on its website heavily focusing on the benefits. Sign up for the card and you receive 20% on purchases the same day and next.

Macy’s American Express Preferred Credit Card
This no fee Macy’s credit card is a notch higher. Promotionally, you’d be given 2% cash back at gas stations, grocery stores, and drugstores. You receive discounts, 1% cash back on all purchases outside, and 3% Star Rewards plus. You can benefit from Macy’s Preferred Travel service with discounts and upgrades on accommodation, transportation, and 25% off on car rentals from American Express partners. However, to qualify for this Macy’s credit card, you need to spend one thousand dollars a year at the store.
